You keep hittin' the snooze button
while I'm up, 5 min 'fore the bell tolls,
witnessin' the rise of a beautiful day,
beautiful lights catchin' my gaze,
all while you're sittin' in the darkness,
ignorant of what's happenin',
thinkin' you're feelin' the bliss,
but not realizing what you just missed.
My mind is in another world,
takin' a journey through space & time
while yours is stuck in the black hole,
so lost in the abyss,
not knowin' where to go.
I'm in the middle of the flow,
lettin' life take me away, over to the Milky Way.
Stop by Jupiter, livin' on Mars, touchin' the stars.
Ridin' a comet as I pass over Venus,
breathin' the Aether of the Gods
& defyin' all the odds.
Born of Mother Earth, livin' in the sky with Father Time,
I pen these rhymes from the mind,
combined with the music from the soul,
makin' my legacy last as words form stardust,
engravin' my lyrics in the night sky,
always visible to your eyes.
I lay the poetic wax over a string of beats,
creatin' a candle that never fades to black,
shinin' the light on all the facts.
Becomin' one with the stars, feelin' the spirits in the air
as I reach for the heavenly: talk with Allah,
meditate with the Buddha, witnessin' the Rebirth,
and create with Brahm. Feelin' the wind blow
as I'm taken to greater heights, sittin' on Mt. Olympus,
drinkin' wine with Dionysus, runnin' freely with Hermes
& singin' songs with Apollo; My mind is too hard to follow...
This is about..my passion for life,
keep movin' past the strife, just tryin' to do what's right,
bring the world in the light. Always on the run,
in chase of the melody, searchin' for me, and who I wanna be.
Travelin' through space & time lookin' for the key
to unlock my people's minds, teach 'em the ways of the Wise
& open their eyes to seek the signs missed by the blind.
Strivin' for positivity & changin' for a better me...
a better you...
a better world..
where the passion of life roams free...
